Teknor Apex is an international materials manufacturing business, with a large site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Weisman Roofing has worked with this industrial complex to develop a program of repair and commercial roofing to replace this older structure's roofing system section by section over time with minimum of disruption to the critical business operations. The aim is to prolong the life of all of the new roofing systems, to maximize life cycle costs.

Some of the building’s roof sections include heavily-trafficked paver walkways. When replacing these walkways, Weisman Roofing applied a double thickness of modified bitumen membrane beneath new walkway cement pavers.

Metal roofing panels have also been installed on the covered walkways which connect the various buildings of the complex.

On other buildings, Weisman installed multiple new skylights – improving the workspaces within – and also many additional drainage systems (designed by Weisman) which, combined with the modern roofing materials used, will greatly improve the life cycle of the commercial roofing systems.

The complex’s saw tooth roofs have gotten new asphalt shingle coverings. On other sections depending on wind, weight and other requirements, Weisman applied EPDM single-ply membrane, built-up tar and gravel and cold-welded modified bitumen commercial roofing systems.
