The Marriott Spring Hill Suites in Warwick, Rhode Island offers 107 suites for working, relaxing and sleeping, in a stylish hotel setting. When renovation of the building was begun, installing a new commercial roofing became a top priority.

During this time-sensitive building renovation project, Weisman Roofing removed the existing shingle roof, and replaced it with a new architectural shingle commercial roofing system.

According to Architect Magazine, architectural shingles offer both high algae resistance and great weather resistance. These shingles can be manufactured in a wide variety of colors, and, because they are light weight, they can be quickly installed and easily repaired. Architectural shingles are much better than traditional shingles and are very long-lasting.

Weisman also removed many teal-colored metal panels, which no longer suited the building. To replace these sections, Weisman used copper-colored Kynar coated aluminum panels, placing them at the entrance and other areas, to highlight and accent various sections of the roof.

Kynar is the number one coating for aluminum. It is electrostatically attached the metal. The coating has a high resistance to UV radiation, chemicals and pollutants, and has an excellent color retention. These benefits, combined with the low weight of the aluminum, meant that the panels were perfect to accentuate the roof, and look and feel, of this stylish, renovated hotel.
