With several locations across New England, Ross-Simons jewelry stores and warehouse have needed multiple commercial roofing systems over the years. Weisman Roofing has worked with this corporate client recommending solutions, providing value-engineered alternatives based on a particular structure's requirements and the local building code, and negotiating final plans with the owner's general contractor. Weisman has also removed and replaced commercial roofing systems on Ross Simons retail stores, warehouse and annex buildings.

On the original 30,000 square foot warehouse, Weisman Roofing installed a ballasted EDPM single-ply membrane roofing system. EDPM single-ply membrane roofing systems are resistant to ozone and UV radiation and suitable for the seasonal variation of temperatures in New England. An EPDM roofing system’s large sheets mean that there are fewer joints, the weak spot of many commercial roofing systems. For the Ross-Simons office addition to the warehouse, a 12,500 sq. ft. ballasted EDPM single-ply membrane commercial roofing system was used. This commercial roofing system was quickly installed, with minimum disruption to daily business.

For one retail store, Weisman removed the older single-ply commercial roofing and installed a modified bitumen roofing system. For another store, Weisman installed a new modified bitumen roofing system over the existing tar and gravel roof. For another, Weisman built a mansard façade and covered it in brown aluminum standing seam metal.
